What’s trending today: Letting you know what’s up with your Twitter feed

#1: Andy Murray: Murray is a Scottish professional tennis player went up against legend Roger Federer today in the Wimbledon finals, and unfortunately for him, was unable to take the glory from Federer’s experienced hands.  The Adidas-clad Scot is ranked fourth in the world, and first in Great Britain.  He started playing with a racket when he was at the tender age of 3 and hasn’t left the court since.  Braveheart, fittingly, is his favorite movie, and in his spare time, Murray likes to blast Eminem, 50 Cent, and BEP on his iPod, while eating Haagen Dazs cookies and cream ice cream.  We at Cobalt proudly support both Federer and Murray, because even though there can only be one winner, they both are great players and they both deserved the win.

#2 SBS: Small Business Sunday! This weekly celebration was created by Theo Paphitis in October 2010 by creating a Twitter feed from 5:30pm-7:30pm on Sundays that small businesses tweet into to win his support. At the end he sits down, picks his top 6 favorites and retweets the posts to his 230,000 followers, thus causing those small businesses to reap in some serious benefits including positive media support, new customers, new Twitter followers, and duh, increased sales!  At least, that’s the point.

#3: Calvi: Referring today to Calvi on the Rocks, an open air music festival on the picturesque, simply gorgeous coast of Corsica, off of France.  The event this year has been running since the 6th, and will continue until this upcoming Wednesday, and features acts such as The Rapture, Erol Alkin, and Brodinski, and as we are sure you have never heard of any of those (or the rest of the lineup for that matter, because we sure hadn’t,) this summer adventure will not only bring you some international experiences, but it will expose you to the fresh culture of the Mediterranean.

#4 Centre Court: Yet another Wimbledon reference, the Centre Court, is THE court.  Holding up to 15,000 people it just so happens to be the court where finals are held, so you can only imagine the feeling of walking on that Perennial Ryegrass.

#5 Lily Allen: She (officially) has another bun in the oven! Congrats to Lily and Sam Cooper on the (soon to be) newest addition to their family!
