What’s trending today: Letting you know what’s up with your Twitter feed

#1 Olympics: Well, the opening ceremonies, (directed by Danny Boyle, the guy who brought us Slumdog Millionaire,) start tomorrow, and everyone can’t wait to get the 2012 London Olympics going.  We’ll be watching Missy Franklin, and the Phelps/Lochte showdown in the pool, Shawn Johnson take over the floor routines, and everyone else who’s dreams are only of Olympic Gold.

#2 Cloud Atlas: Originally a novel by David Mitchell, now a film, today released a mind-blowing trailer today, causing millions to sit at the edge of their rickety seats as their popcorn bins fell mindlessly to the sticky floor.  Unfortunately the trailer has been mysteriously removed from YouTube so I guess we’ll just have to believe the hype on this one.

#3 romneyshambles: Poor, poor Mitt Romney.  Seriously, this guy just can’t catch a break.  Today he decided to make a negative statement about the Olympics, causing international tensions (like we need that), and many to simply #SMH.  Good luck getting out of that one bro, if you haven’t caught on, everyone is into the Olympics, EVERYONE, like even people who don’t have T.V.s or something.

#4 MDNAParis: Our girl Madonna performed live in Paris today, we love us some MDNA, check it out on YouTube, the quality isn’t quite perfect, but it is worth your while.

#5 Google Fiber: Google has announced plans for Google Fiber, an intensely fast network, and also for Google Fiber T.V., allowing one to record up to 500 hours of television and even records 8 shows at once, not to mention it syncs with Netflix.  It basically just serves as one more example of our American ambition, and technological drive to innovate.

#6 Elmira: While not a town we are familiar with, Elmira, New York experienced high winds causing extreme damages, showing all signs of a tornado, but the report is yet to be confirmed.  Well wishes to all those affected by Mother Nature’s ferocity.
